 For most sixteen year olds in the fictional city of Palacia, the Summoning is the most important day of their lives. That is the day when they receive their calling into one of the circles - restoration, destruction, transformation, perception, conduction, and insight. These circles are determined by innate abilities that everyone is born with, and which fall under certain categories. On the day Summoning, a ceremony is performed to determine where each teen will be spending the rest of their lives.
For a small handful, this is not a day to be looked forward to. These few do not fall under any of the recognized categories and therefore are assumed to be powerless. Enslaved and called 'Morpies', they are forced to work for the general population and are treated terribly. Unbeknownst to the general population, these people are not as powerless as they believe, but rather have a different sort of power - mind powers. They've begun to notice, though, and they've started to fight back in secret by forming an underground revolt.
Which side will you choose? Which circle will you be in? Will you even be in a circle, or will you join the Morpies in their assault upon the generalization of their kind and, thus, help them to make their voices brand new?
