:: PERSONALITY ::
Dolores is an intense girl. Everything she does is to an extreme. She listens to the loudest, most recognizable music in 'her' genre, and adheres to all the freaky things surrounding it. Just a year before she would have claimed to have been a satanist, but has since gotten over this. Currently holding a more dark, cynical view of life and everything in it, she calls herself an atheist, even though she knows damn well due to her powers that there is SOMETHING else after death.
Nobody has ever gotten close to her emotionally and it's not incredibly likely that anybody will, though if on the off chance that someone did manage to bash through her barriers she would literally murder anybody who crossed them.
Dolores' sense of humor is quite dark, if at all existent and she has a bad habit of just letting thoughts slip through her lips. She is blunt and generally found unlikable, quick to anger and brutal in her beatings. She has an over active imagination and that combined with her powers leaves her jumpy and prone to making leaps in logic. She has severe anxiety and she doesn't yet understand what it is or how to deal with it, and this leaves her incredibly impulsive, reckless and near-sighted. She pays absolutely no mind to the consequences of her actions until they are upon her.
Dolly hasn't yet formed her own opinion on human/mutant relations. Having just found out that she herself is a mutant, she had always been slightly weary of mutants, though now that she knows what she is, she is only slightly less suspicious. She knows how her powers affect her and that's why she's still nervous.

- :: PSYCHIC MANIFESTATIONS ::
Dolores has the ability to call forth ghost-like beings created from the necroplasmic residue left behind when a human being dies. She is able to control and manipulate them, making the tangible or intangible at will. These ghost-like manifestations act and look like traditional ghosts, floating and being semi-transparent. She has complete control over them and can make them do her bidding. The more people who have died in an area makes it easier for her to manifest them. She doesn't know if the ghosts she creates are actual ghosts or if she simply gathers enough of the necroplasmic residue to create one and can make it look like whoever she wants, but she does know that she's run into her parents a few too many times. The longer a person has been dead the weaker their presence and thus it is more difficult for Dolores to get a hold of them.- :: EMPATHIC LINK ::
Unfortunately for Dolores, when she gains control over her spectres she creates an empathic link with them, transferring all of their 'pain' if they were to be hit, to her. Though interestingly enough she is able to share this link with other people to lessen the strain on herself.
As of yet, Dolores doesn't have much control over her powers.

:: History ::
Born to a set of uptight, prudish parents, Dolores never really had a chance. From a very young age, there were many restrictions put on the young child. She was not even allowed near a television until the age of seven, though before then she was enrolled into two separate martial arts classes for her to learn severe discipline. A discipline she accepted in her earlier years.
The only time she had any interaction outside of her immediate family was when she was at these classes, and then a little bit later on when her mother deemed home schooling too much work at the age of ten she began to have a somewhat normal social life. Her years being home schooled left her particularly sensitive to the teasings of her peers. She received quite the mental flogging from her peers due to being home schooled and new.
School was not a place that she enjoyed and her martial arts were all she had in life, and so when her parents pulled her out of her classes, it created a very large rift between them and she would never forgive them for it. She begrudgingly attended school, regardless of how miserable she was, but began to listen to music and wear clothes that would upset her parents. Before long, her and her parents were at odds with one another, always fighting and screaming.
Now 12 years old, Dolores began to indulge in self destructive behaviours. She picked up smoking at this shockingly young age and it really should come as no surprise that by the time she was 13 she was a relatively heavy smoker of cigarettes and marijuana. By this point as well she had started spending time with people who were older than her by a few years and getting into some trouble. Often she was found out joyriding with 16 year olds, vandalizing and stealing.
When Dolores turned 14, she got into a particularly heated argument with her parents about her style of dress and how dark and revealing it really was. The argument grew to be about more than that, about how corrupt she had become and how frightened her mother was for her soul. Her mother screamed into the night and eventually ended by calling her a 'wicked girl' before leaving to regain with Dolores' father to regain her head. It was that night her parents were killed in a horrific car accident and she was sent into foster care. Unbeknownst to her, this was also the night that her power manifested itself.
Over the course of the three years she was in foster care before she was picked up by Jean Grey, Dolores thought she was completely insane. For the first little while she would see apparitions of her parents and not know what to think, and then it grew worse and worse, seeing the spirits of the dead everywhere and it drove her into her own self, hiding in her room at all times, wherever that might have been. Every foster parent she had hated her because of the way that she was, the music that she listened to and the way that she dressed, not to mention the constant burning of incense to attempt to keep the spirits away from her. It never worked because the spirits were due to her power and not anything mystical.
More recently, Dolores has been sent to the Xavier Institute, having been discovered accidentally on one of her more rowdy nights out. She is just arriving and rather annoyed at having been rejected by another foster family.
