:: PERSONALITY ::
Remy LeBeau is a cunning devil. He has a nose trouble, and isn't afraid of it. He spent most of his life disobeying the law, and now he is learning to master his powers at the Xavier School for Gifted Youngsters.
Despite his affinity for trouble, he also has a love of all the girls at the school. He is a charmer, and is not afraid to show his affection for the female form something that he is constantly getting in trouble with. He does not discriminate with more advanced physical mutations either.
He loves playing chess having learned from his Father, and it has helped him in learning how to read people. He has a keen intuition about what people are about or what they're doing. He's a former liar by trade, and is hard to be lied to.
It has been noted by Professor X that he also has trust and abandonment issues that would explain these things which isn't shocking with the life lived. Despite these issues he still has a soft spot for people in trouble. He may be a thief, but he's not a shut off.
"You're not the only one with gifts."
:: MUTATION ::
- :: KINETIC MANIPULATION ::
Remy has the ability to tap into unstable energy stored inside an object and bring it out, often causing it to become unstable. When the item becomes unstable it only has a small time frame before it explodes violently. Smaller objects seem to hold stability for only a matter of seconds with larger objects holding stabilization for longer amounts of time. In order for Gambit to charge an item it must be done through skin contact. Gambit's ability to tap energy also grants him superhuman agility and dexterity, which gives him an added edge he has used to his advantage by developing a unique acrobatic fighting style.- :: STATIC ENERGY ::
He has a latent, and uncontrollable static effect on the most powerful of telepaths and even causes touch based powers to destabilize. When Professor X tried to read his mind he only got various images with alot of static noise. This is the closest anyone has delved into Remy's mind. Despite his ability to disrupt someone's powers he can not stop there power just make it more volatile.
"Living from day to day, moving from place to place, with no memory of who or what you are."
:: History ::
Remy LeBeau has a very unique origin. It is unknown who his real parents are or where he was born, but the one thing that is for sure is his earliest memories are from a orphanage in New Orleans, LA. He was there for a few years until he could no longer handle the song and dance of being touted in front of potential parents only to never be chosen.
He ran away at the age of six from the orphanage, and got into trouble pretty quickly. He began thieving from people in the park just things left in trash cans or if purses were left on the ground and alone for any period of time they were free game to Remy LeBeau. He was caught thieving in the park by another thief named Fagan. He caught the kid, and brought him to the Thieves Guild. A secret underground organization based in New Orleans that saw some of the best thieves on the planet walk through it's doors only a daily basis.
He started out being the distraction for more experienced pickers, but eventually he was elevated to the role of a picker. He wasn't indulged to the luxuries like television or normal games, as it could take away his focus from what he was doing. He grew up spending all day, every day outside in the streets. The games he played usually consisted of picking and robbing people.
When he turned ten years old he picked the pocket of the highest ranking member of the Thieves Guild unbeknownst to Remy though who never saw men like Jean Luc LeBeau. Jean Luc was so impressed by Remy's skills that he had decided to adopt the boy. What Remy hadn't realized was that he had just jumped from the lowest part of the Guild to the best possible lineage he could be in. He now was the son of Jean Luc and grandson to Jaques LeBeau. Remy was no longer a street urchin and was put through more training now as a professional thief. He spent his days learning the art of lock picking, breaking and entering and other forms of entry into a building. From there they moved him onto learning different security systems.
During his training he eventually met a girl named Belladonna Boudreaux. Unknown to Remy, she was from the Assassin's Guild sent to learn the skills of the Thieves to help make her the most formidable Assassin by her family. She was a skilled girl, and Remy was an equally skilled boy; they both competed to be the best. In their competition a romance blossomed between them often fueled by them trying to outdo the other. They knew being from opposing Guilds meant that this would not be accepted by either group so they kept their romance a secret. Many times did Remy risk trouble by sneaking out at night to go see Belladonna.
At fifteen, his cousin Etienne died during his tilling, an incident Remy tried desperately to prevent from happening. After this event Remy became violatile losing someone that had been closer to him than any other person on other aside from Bella. He tried to goto her, but he heard his name coming from her Father's office. Remy eavesdropped the coversation learning that he was being used as a bargaining chip to bring an alliance to the two Guilds. The original piece was his cousin, but the only way to salvage the deal was for Remy to take his place.
Remy was startled thus making a noise. He was nearly caught, but he fled the Assassin's Guild. They gave chase not knowing who was spying on them, and it was Bella's cousin who caught Remy. This is where Remy's powers kicked in when his powers activated, and charged the other boy's clothes. They exploded leaving him looking like the victim of an IED.
"Scream for me."

It had been a few days after Remy had met Angelica Jones. It was the name that he absolutely just could not get her out of his mind. He had asked her out to the staff banquet, and had bought a brand new suit especially for this evening. He was determined to dress to impress. He had recently gotten his hair trimmed a bit, and he had lined up his stubbled beard. He ran his hand through his hair as he looked himself over in the mirror. He took a few steps back to get a good look at his suit. He was wearing a grey coat, grey pants, black shoes, black button up shirt, and bright red tie.
He threw on some fancy cologne that he had got. He had tried out a few, and this particular one he grabbed smelt like champagne. He put only a total of three squirts one on his chest, and on each wrist. He was definitely going all out for this event, but mostly it was for her. He hadn’t done anything normal in a really long time, and this was bound to be one of the more fun activities that wouldn’t require him ducking any form of danger, unless you counted his atomic bomb of a date.
He had also run the idea that he needed a cover. Remy was a very attractive man, and had the personality to match it. He had been spoken to by Dr. MacTaggert a number of times about not working out around female students because it sent the wrong signal. It wasn’t like he did it purposely they only had one work out area, and the last time he had done it when he went in no one was there. He figured at the very least if he looked like there might be a relationship developing with this woman that people might not think of him as so much of a creeper.
He wasn’t quite ready to leave the room yet. He made his way over to his dresser where he pulled out a velvet box opening it up looking down on the diamond necklace with a emerald stone inside what looked like an old mirror outline design for a pendant. He looked at the stone hoping that she would like it because every time he looked at it he was reminded of those powerful emerald green eyes of hers.
He closed the box, and put it into his coat pocket. He made his way across his bedroom to the door opening it up, and making his way into the hallway. The staff dorms were pretty active as many of the staff had been ready for this night. A lot of the staff didn’t have time to get away from the school to go out on dates so this offered them a great opportunity to doll themselves up, dance, drink, and cut up. Most of the of age students were making their way into NY to take part in the New Year’s festivals there. Many of them didn’t want to miss the ball dropping in Central Park. It was definitely a great life experience for most of them.
The younger students had mostly all been home for the holidays, and the ones who had nowhere to go were already in their halls for curfew. They would not be sneaking in because of the student’s Resident Advisor’s making sure they remained on their own hallways, and not permitted to roam the halls alone. Yes it was their home, but they needed to be watched so that they didn’t go running around or worse someone get lost out in the woods. There were a lot of things that could happen to the kids especially the new ones who didn’t know the area well.
Remy made his way down to Angelica door knocking on it. She opened the door as he laid his eyes on her in the very beautiful dress that she had chosen for the occasion. He smiled scanning over her with his black and red eyes. “Mon adieu, ya look…remarkable.” He reached into his pocket, and pulled out the box. “Remy got ya somethin’.” He opened the box showing her the diamond laced necklace with an emerald stone in the pendant. “T’ought it lookt like ya eyes.”
