JOHNNY GALLO
RICOCHET // 18 // NEUTRAL // MAX THIERIOT
"If you knew the kind of person you used to be...the work we did together..."[/color]
:: PERSONALITY ::
Johnny used to be a very positive and well adjusted young man. That time has long since passed. He is now a mostly quiet individual who keeps to himself. At work he is very silent, and keeps a very low profile. When away from work at home he is often haunted by the visions of the past of either regret or torment. Both of those emotions can be plainly seen in his eyes. So much so that it cost him his last relationship due to his unwillingness to disclose what was wrong with him.
He is often bitter at people for expecting him to be more well adjusted not knowing what he has seen with his two eyes. He tends to wonder how military people do it. He is set to spend therapy time with Jean Grey whilst attending the school.
He still maintains an excellent diet despite not having done any physically demanding activities in years. Besides his superior discipline when it comes to his body he otherwise abuses it with various narcotics on very bad days. He often uses pot or liquor to get help him fall asleep. These items aren't abused so much as necessity for his deep rooted emotional trauma's.
He doesn't really care about human/mutant social situations really. He doesn't look like a mutant, and won't surrender the info to anyone. That's what we call being smart. If he has people he could trust with the info then he does, but otherwise he keeps alot of info to himself.

:: MUTATION ::
- :: Enhanced Physical Dexterity ::
Having been a athlete in high school he was always kept in athletic shape for the various sports he played. This translated well during his mutation along with his heightened senses and reaction time came the addition of increased agility. He is not on par with Spider-Man, but he is better than any non-mutant, and at least average to above average with any other mutant of the same power.- :: Enhanced Senses ::
Johnny has heightened senses. His eye sight, sense of smell, skin sensitivity, hearing, and reaction time are all heightened to Olympic athlete levels. He has learned to trust his instincts over the years. They have been put to more of test due to his early entrance into the hero antics. The senses while being heightened there is always room for error, or in crowded area's can be very stressful to his senses causing him much discomfort.
"Living from day to day, moving from place to place, with no memory of who or what you are."
:: History ::
Johnny was born a normal kid to Kathy, and Johnathon Gallo. They were a normal couple in New York. Kathy was secretly a mutant, but her powers being unknown to anyone. They lived normally, and eventually had one son. Johnathon Gallo Jr as he was named after his father. Constantly referred to as Johnny though he was a normal kid.
He was a good student, but showed great promise as an athlete. He was stated early on in football, basketball, gymnastics, baseball, and volleyball. He played for local city leagues a year before he could start school leagues. His best sport was gymnastics, but his favorite was basketball. Growing up he was naturally cocky, but not arrogant about it. He made friends with ease, and had a quality personality.
By the age of twelve the neighborhood they had originally moved into all those years back had fallen into decay. Crime was rising in the area, and a walk down the street was as dangerous as walking in Central Park at midnight. His Dad was at work that day as Johnny's mother decided to take a quick trip to the grocery store around the corner with Johnny. She needed food for lunch, but they had ran out of what Johnny needed for his very strict diet. As they walked out of the store she was hit by a wild bullet from a drive-by. She fell back into Johnny's arms, he quickly realized what had happened. His eyes full with tears, his emotions a torrent Johnny took to chase. All he could think was for revenge, but he had yet to realize that his mutant powers were now taking effect. He ducked through traffic, and leaped over oncoming cars attempting to catch the men. He failed in his attempt to catch them, but not without making a scene.
Years had passed, and Johnny had long since quit school. He was now a drop out, and just working odd jobs to make cash in hopes he might be able to get his own place. Tensions with his father had grown since his mother's death. His father blamed him for the incident, and the rumors of Johnny being a mutant only further fueled his father's hatred for his son. The two barely spoke, and when they did it was often a fight. Johnny was eventually approached to join a group of vigilante's. He was given the moniker Ricochet, and a costume to hide his identity. He spent a year and a half as a street vigilante with this group before seeing things that changed his life.
He currently resides in District X. He has started attending classes at New York University working toward a degree in Physical Therapy. He isn’t necessarily happy with it but figures he can change it whenever he wants. He is sleeping on the streets until he finds a place but has since cut off communication with his Father.

Johnny stood casually with his hands in his pockets as he was making an attempt at a normal social interaction. He nodded back mockingly at Tommy. Johnny was always a pretty forward friendly person, and the fact he wasn’t extended a hand shake left him a little insulted by the white haired kid. Then the magenta colored girl extended her hand out to him. He took her hand shaking it, and busting out a smile for her hand. “It’s a pleasure to meet you Blink.” Before he could continue on however Tommy quickly asked her for a dance. Then he actually heard him say that he wouldn’t bite.
Johnny shook his head knocking back the rest of his drink. She gave the guy a reason she couldn’t or wouldn’t or simply just didn’t want to dance with him. Either way his game was well out of date, and in desperate need of modernization of say one hundred years give or take.
“So two newbies. Speed, huh? Take it you’re one of them fast types.” He said with a bit of an attitude. He was still a little burnt from the blow off welcome he got. He hadn’t introduced himself to anyone in years really, and he was probably taking it a little more personal than he normally would. “Must suck to Speed through everything.”
He realized he was probably on the way to probably making a scene at the very beginning of this school function. “Looks like my drink is empty…need to fix that.” He excused himself from the two to grab a drink. He wanted to talk to Blink more, but he knew staying over there was liable to make him look like a prick. Even if he could be. He made himself another soda thinking that it was better to let little Speedy embarrass himself alone.
He decided to scan the room some more, and see what else was making its way into the room. He noticed a few people around, but he was really wishing he would see Tanner so he at least might look like he knew someone. Chances were Tanner was probably already some big hit with people. He had been a lot better with people than Johnny had ever been in a long time. At the very least there did seem to be more girls than guys at this place. It wouldn’t be too hard for him to make a few friends.
He took a deep breath not wanting to look like he had been annoyed by the midget speedster. He made his way back over to the two with a smile on his face. “How about these lilies huh? Gonna be a lot to clean up, but thankfully we got Speedy here.” He said with a confident almost arrogant smile as he held his drink chest level.
“Blink how long you been at the school babe?” He knew he needed to turn the conversation to the hottie in pink. If he kept trying to create small talk with Speedy he’d probably end up in a brawl outside. He looked her over a bit thinking how well she had matched the dress to her unique skin color. He couldn’t help but notice her dress matching her eyes. He was more than a little excited to be meeting like out there mutants. He never really felt like one himself with his powers only being an extension of his physicality really.
“That’s cool.” He said nodding as she had replied. “So I hope I’m not prying here, but I have to ask. So with a name like Blink you must do something pretty awesome.” He said maintaining his smile while speaking to her. He was determined to send out good karma, and do his best to get some positive feedback from people also.
He was here at the school for a reason, and he knew that the answers wouldn’t just come from Dr. Grey. He had to put the effort out to effect change in every aspect of his life. He was a better person than he had been living the last few years.
He kept eye contact with Blink or at least he thought he was it was kind of hard to tell really. He listened to her explain her powers as he nodded. He took the time to continue looking her over. She had her nails done very nice, and her hair was done up in some crazy style. Honestly she could give Belle from Beauty and the Beast a run for her money. That had to take a while to do. The most he had done in preparation for this thing was brush his teeth, and throw on some cologne.
