:: PERSONALITY ::
Kitty is a stubborn and sarcastic person. She is almost always armed with a witty remark. When she has her mind set on something there is little chance of someone making her change it. She is hard working, doing whatever she can to help the team or keep her perfect GPA in tact. Kitty has very limited patience. She understands that some things take but it it takes to long she has a tendency to get upset and complains about the whole thing.
Kitty is also very caring and passionate. She puts her heart and soul into her work and her dancing. She is usually the first person to volunteer when a younger student needs help with their abilities. During missions she stays level headed, doing her best to not let her emotions cloud her judgment. She thinks quickly when in sticky situations and can usually find her way out of them.

:: MUTATION ::
- ::Phasing/intangibility ::
The ability to pass through solid matter by passing her atoms through the spaces between the atoms of the object through which she was moving. She can phase through any material object including people. Shadowcat is able to phase her clothing with her. She has also learned how to phase other objects along with her. She has to keep physical contact with the people or objects she is phasing with in order for it to work. She can phase for as long as she can hold her breath which is a total of two minutes and thirty seconds- :: Air Walking ::
Using her phasing ability, Shadowcat is able to walk on air. She can also enable someone as big as Colossus to "walk on air" along with her but can only do so one person at a time.- ::Electrical Disruption::
When she phases through an object with an electrical system, she disrupts the system's workings when she does.- ::Telepathic Resistance::
This happens only when she is phasing. Her thoughts are highly erratic when phasing as if there is no mind to telepathically affect.

:: History ::
Katherine Pryde was born to Carmen and Theresa Pryde in Deerfield, Illinois. Kitty at 13 and a half she had taken some college courses because of her genius intellect level. She lived a simple life, that is until her powers manifested. She began having headaches that slowly grew stronger become migraines that seems like they would never end. Unknown to Kitty and her family these headaches were do to her developing mutation.
On the afternoon that Kitty suffered her worst headache Charles Xavier arrived to talk to her parents about enrolling her in his school. Kitty had been upstairs in her room, attempting to sleep away the headache, When the headache stopped Kitty opened her eyes only to discover that she was no longer on her bed, no longer in her room at all. She had used her powers for the first time. The older man explained to her what had happened and helped her come to terms with her abilities.
During her first year at the institute the school suffered the loss of Charles Xavier. Kitty was devastated by his death and became determined to make sure his dream became a reality. She was part of the team that confronted Magneto's army, marking her as the youngest X-man. Despite being the youngest on the team, she proved her worth when she saved Jimmy from the Juggernaut.
The last six years has seen Kitty grow into a confident young woman. She had spent the years focusing on her schooling, training, and her dancing. She is on her way to attending NYU for computer engineering but has chosen to stay at the Institute until further notice.

Tears slid down Kitty's cheeks as she tried her best to compose herself. A funeral was never an easy thing for her to attend, especially this one. She had only been at the school for a short time but Xavier had become a father figure to her, just as he had for many others. He had helped her grow and accept her mutant ability, had comforted her when she had been scared. She knew she hadn't been the easiest teenager to deal with but the professor had never lost faith in her. He had always been there when she needed him. His death shook her.
Dressed in a simple black dress. Kitty was seated between Piotr and Bobby, her attention focused on the white rose in her hand. Her normally joy filled eyes were dull and rimmed with red. The normally happy girl was gone, in her place sat a sorrow filled young woman. She looked up only when Storm began her speech. A fresh wave of tears suddenly falling from her eyes. She had been crying on and off since she had heard the knew of Xavier's death, the smallest of things triggering memories and a fresh onslaught of tears.
She would not let his death be in vain. Kitty became determined to help mutants and humans find a way to work and live together. She was not going to let Magneto win, not like this. She didn't care that she was younger than the others, she didn't care that she was inexperinced. She wanted to make sure the proffessor's dream became a relaity. She would do anything to make sure it happened. Kitty stood up and placed the rose on his grave once the rest of teh funeral party had made their way inside. She spoke softly, saying her last good bye. "I promise, I'll do what ever I can to make things right."
