A Nightly Encounter | Kitty

Robert Drake, Iceman as he was known as smiled as he looked at the lake. Doing so he softly reached to the hem of his thin teeshirt and took it off. Smiling he walked closer to the lake and let the water wash over his feet. Getting used to the feel of the water he breathed out a slight mist as he jumped up and the lake turned to ice. He knew no one was out in the lake at this time. He had been watching it for hours. It was a past time of his and now he was going to do his secondary pastime; ice skating.

Running his hand along his shoes he smiled as ice skates formed and he zoomed off at an incredible speed on the now lake of ice. It was 2am in the morning and he was wide awake. Besides he didnt have any tests to grade tomorrow so it wouldnt bother him to lose some sleep. Moving around the lake he smiled. he didnt need lights, the mood and stars were bright enough as it was for the moment.

Sensing rather then hearing someone step on the ice he froze in his spot and made himself disappear in a way. He was now in his full ice body form as he waited to see just who this person was. Was it a student, teacher, new person? He didnt know. Until...she stepped on the ice. It was Kitty. Sliding up and then transforming back to his human for he softly skated over to her.

"Hey there Kitty...out for a stroll?" He asked as he smiled at her before looking into her eyes. Bobby could always get lost in those eyes.

After three hours of tossing and turning Kitty came to the decision that the land of sleep was out of her reach. She let out a sigh and sat up in bed, trying to decided what she could do at the early hour. In the end she settled on taking a walk around the lake, hoping the cool air would help her relax. The young brunette slid out of bed and made her way to her closet, stepping into the first pair of jeans she found and slipping a dark blue hoodie on over her tanktop.

Holding her breath for a moment, Kitty phased her head through the door. She took a quick peek to make sure the floor was clear before phasing the rest of her body through. A smirk played on her face as she made her way quietly through the building, phasing her way through barriers that would keep the other student's locked inside. Times like these made her love her mutation even more than usual.

Once out in the night air, the young woman took a deep breath and relaxed. Late night/ early morning walks were one of the best things to do in her opinion. Kitty made her way to the lake, no longer worrying that one of the staff members would be catch her out so late. The closer she got to the lake, the more she was able to tell that something or someone was at the lake. The water was not it's usual color or state, it had been frozen. Only one person on the campus could do something like that, Bobby. As soon as the relazation hit her, Kitty was quickly able to spot the man.

She took a steady step onto the ice, focusing on her foot placement. Growing up she had loved ice skating unfortunately she had left her skates in her closet, not knowing that Bobby had frozen the lake.

She stood in the same spot as the male skated over to her, a smile forming on her on her lips." Hey Bobby. I couldn't sleep but shhh." She looked around, pretending to be on edge. " I'm not supposed to be out after hours." What she was doing was against the rules but she knew that despite being a member of the staff, Bobby would not be the one to lecture her about sneaking out. He had been the one that had given her the confidence to do so when she had first started attending the school.
