:: PERSONALITY ::
Zoe is a complicated cookie to say the least, not only is she filled with macadamia nuts, but she’s got chocolate chips and peanut butter cups enough for any baker. Zoe is full of problems, and after what she’s gone through and her outlook on life, who wouldn’t be a little crazy? Zoe has problems with being herself, mainly because she doesn’t really respect herself, but perhaps that’s a little too deep for this.
Zoe has an easily addictive personality; anything that makes her feel good is an instant hook. She’s not shy about her addictions either, despite hating herself for them. Zoe has become addicted to several narcotics in the past however recently she’s been hooked on the cure drug the government tried to create. Of course her supplier wasn’t nice enough to just give her the drug and be fine with it, no, it was laced with traces of cocaine, just enough to give that little extra high and make it physically addicting. Zoe is also addicted to fighting. The thrill of fighting lets her loose, she’ll take on anyone or anything that she feels will put up a fight. She doesn’t discriminate against those that are willing to fight back though; she’s a full time bitch.
Zoe has projected a cold dark demeanor and it’s kept her in that dark whole for years now. At some points many mutants find a point in their life where nothing looks like it will ever get better but it seems that so many of them pull themselves out of it. Zoe is just an example of what happens when you hit rock bottom. Before her mutant powers kicked in Zoe was all too different. She’d always admired the darker things in life, believing in ghosts and other realms. Definitely a believer of witch craft mumbo jumbo, yet she was never a real believer in fortunes. She’s been hard headed since the day she was born and she’d be damned if some unnatural force was going to tell her what to do. Zoe uses the drugs as a way to get closer to the afterlife, a strange way to put it but that doesn’t change what she believes.
Zoe’s demeanor is just that, a faux appearance. She started off with it when she was still growing up in the U.K. and never went back to how she used to be. That part of her may actually be gone; she doesn’t really feel the way she used to about anything. Before she was a mutant she always thought mutants and humans could live together, but now, she’s just glad there is some place she can be with others just like her. Before she was into all that after life stuff, she used to really want a pony, now for all she cared ponies could go die much like those mutant sympathizers. She really doesn’t understand how someone would want to live with someone not like them; to her it’d be like tigers just chilling with lions. Those two just don’t hand out together, nor should that.
Zoe is used to moving around, staying in one place for a long period of time makes her nervous, anxious, and irritable. She prefers to keep moving and thus has no definite place to stay. She’s moved more than twelve times in four years and likes to keep things moving. To Zoe, staying in one place for too long is like being chained down and she likes the feeling of being free.
Zoe isn’t interested by many people, primarily other mutants are the only kind of people she really wants to hang out with. When someone really interests her she’ll go out of her way for them to like her. Does whatever they suggest, try to keep their opinions top priority and other things to try and keep a friend close. She yearns for affection but she’d never let anyone know that, she wants attention and she wants to be liked, of course who doesn’t, but Zoe Often goes looking for those sort of things in the wrong places and just a few moments of hours of compassion makes her day. Again she’d never tell anyone that, she’s just some cold hard ass bitch that doesn’t need anyone for anything, at least…she tries to be that woman.
"You're not the only one with gifts."
:: MUTATION ::
- :: Matter Manipulation ::
Zoe can alter the physical composition of non-organic materials. Metals, rocks, plastics, liquids, and solids are all affected by her touch. She can affect the density, the weight, the size, and anything that makes up an object. She can make something denser without making it heavier and vice versa. At any moment Zoe can touch something and cause it to double in density, weight, and or size; with enough concentration. While not concentrating Zoe still effects any object she touches. Things can randomly disappear, turn to liquid, or turn to solid, make solid object permeable, and so forth. This power seems to only affect non-organic items.
Beyond differing the density and mass of an object she, through enough concentration, can actually cause matter to disappear, which goes against all scientific laws. This takes too much time to be useful in a battle situation but is excellent for getting read of evidence and other things she'd rather leave forgotten.- :: Organic Shock ::
Through touch she has the ability and curse of causing a brief yet instantaneous paralysis. This primarily has a radius on a standard living creature of about one foot, which could last up to half an hour. If she were to touch someone's hand then the majority of their arm would go dead in a sense. The feeling is equivalent to having that portion of their body held against a hot metal rod. Touching the face causes a temporary memory lapse and dazed feeling represented by a sudden flash of light to the victim. However a direct touch to the victims’ spinal column can cause complete paralyses and unconsciousness for ten to twenty minutes, depending on the intellectual level of the person.
"Living from day to day, moving from place to place, with no memory of who or what you are."
:: History ::
Zoe was born in Llandrindod, a small town in the U.K. Her father was a factory worker while her mother was a school teacher. Zoe went to school just like any other girl would do and talked just like any other girl would when they were six, but few of the girls in her class would change just like she would. It was her sixth year in school, Zoe was eleven at the time, that she went through her first major personality change. Her mother was her teacher and that led to some obvious angst among the other children. Her mother took it easy on her, she had the teacher at home to help her with anything she needed and she got away with tons of things in class others wouldn’t have even tried like gluing someone to their desk. Zoe took full advantage of having her mother as a teacher but her behavior had run it’’s course with her fellow class mates.
Zoe could see what was happening and knew that if she played off of her mother’s endearment for her others would resent her. She couldn’t predict what she would want in the future and at eleven years old she wasn’t really concerned about it. In order to fit in with the others and actually have friends she sacrificed a piece of her and a part of her relationship with her mother by reversing the target of er little pranks. From that point on it became a common occurrence for Zoe to blow off whatever it was her mother told her to do.
Zoe was always a trouble maker but when it came down to it she was good kid at heart, she never really wanted to hurt anyone, just get a good laugh out of some harmless fun, and who could blame her. She was decently popular in her class now, and she’d made a few friends but never really true for life friends. Sure they knew one another but they’d hardly goo out of their way to help one another.
Her eight grade year in school not only marked the development off her mutant powers, but the complete and total separation from her family. Zoe had pulled a prank on some new kid, and unfortunately for him, he wasn’t the type to take such jokes with humor. The boy was much bigger than her, and she didn’t stand a chance, at least she wouldn’t have; had her powers come a little too late. The boy got one solid punch in on her and all she did was grab his arm and he crumpled over screaming. She snapped, and even though he was down and out she couldn’t pull herself away, lost in a blinding fury she punched the kid over and over until someone managed to pull her off. Which took a while considering anyone that touched her felt a similar shock. She’d been suspended for fighting which would be the first time in a long line of felonies.
Next time she attended school she did so, her skin covered head to toe in dark clothing. It wasn’t too uncommon but she definitely looked strange. Her usual brown hair didn’t go with her new outfit and her overall personality didn’t fit. Her parents had said they still loved her but she heard the conversations no child was meant to hear and she saw the way they looked at her. It didn’t matter to her now, she’d been given a new appearance and she had to fill out the role if she was going to have any place. She died her hair and pierced her nose the cheap way, with a bit of ice and a useful pain tolerance.
Given the new appearance Zoe had to only focus on getting the lifestyle down. First it was the music to get a feel for her new life, then the people, and then the parties. She was fitting in and she had a place but her parents never looked at her the same way, and she didn’t care. Zoe was from place to place since she was sixteen and has been on the move ever since then. The day she moved out was probably the last time she saw her parents.
Zoe learned to use her powers to get what she needed. She and her boyfriend at the time moved all over the countryside but they’d always wanted to go to New York. Zoe had managed to find one of those freaks that liked the pain but hell she didn’t care, to her he was some guy with a minor problem and he’d offered her the world. She and him went all the way to New York together before he ran out of money and turned into a pansy. She didn’t need some broke man falling to pieces around her and she didn’t have a problem leaving him with his own troubles. After all, she was an attractive woman in New York, she was set for life. It had been several years since the incedent at the prison but there were signs all over the place, pro mutant, anti-mutant, everywhere. Wanted posters with crazy looking monsters on them, the world had fallen far, but maybe it was just trying to keep up with her. Either way a common drug on the street for mutants was the cure the government had tried to give out, it didn’t work fully, it wore off, but Zoe couldn’t pass up the opportunity to feel normal, to touch someone without hurting them.

Zoe had been looking forward to this day for almost two weeks. And what was so important about today? Well today, some of her favorite bands came to town. This was going to be the first time they ever played together, not to mention their were some she'd never even heard of. Of course if they were good enough to tour with the ones she did, then they were good enough for her. At least for now.
Zoe had left the district early just to make sure she showed up for the concert on time. She had her ticket folded up and was impatiently flicking it between her fingers incessantly. The location was the Barclay Center, Brooklyn, New York, and she was definitely surprised to see all the fans come out of the woodwork in order to see the bands, whether it be Otep, Arch Enemy, Children of Bodom (A finnish band teehee), Dark Tranquility, or Eths, they were all there. Together for the first time ever, this was sure to be some crazy concert.
Zoe had showed up early and the sidewalk was already full of people. The bus had probably taken her too long, but whatever, she was there. Even with the mass of people crowding around outside they hadn't opened the doors yet, if they didn't open up soon they were sure to have trouble on their hands. After all, never had such a mass of black leather clad people gathered outside the Barclay center.
Zoe walked up as far as the mob would permit and turned her back to the wall. Lifting a leg she put her left foot on the wall behind her and leaned against it. Her hair was perfect though by the end of the night she'd expected it to be a tangled mess, at least she hoped the concert was that good. She'd cleaned up the lines in her hair today, the center still straight as always and she had a braid on either side close to her temples. One was stuck behind her ear while the other was let free to hang which had a bit of purple, (her favorite color) in it as an accent. Her head tilted down as she pulled out her ticket and flipped it back and forth between her fingers waiting for the doors to open and the people to rush in. "ugh...A whole f***ing hour," she sighed. She wasn't going to show up to a concert this early again that's for sure.
