"If you knew the kind of person you used to be...the work we did together..."[/color]
:: PERSONALITY ::
AnnaMarie is a quiet person, at least about her background. She has never revealed the identity of her parents, for the fear that she would be removed from those she cared about. She adores her friends and values them as more of a family than her own. The fact that she was the daughter (at least sort of) of Mystique, Head Bitch in Charge of the Brotherhood. Aside from her secretativeness over her history, Annamarie, is without a doubt, Southern. She is the one to offer a smile, while she's saying something that could be considered rude, but rarely in a way that can't be turned back against the person. She never leaves herself open to being thought of being rude.
Annamarie prides herself on keeping her cool when in stressful situations. She is a mouthy, opinionated sort, though tries to steer clear of purposefully saying something to hurt another person. She'd personally rather be kicked in the lady-bits, than to have someone say something cruel to her. The emotional lingers, while the physical drifts. She'd like to say the whole 'Sticks and Stones' thing, though she has a sensitive side when it comes to certain people.
Annamarie also loves to cook, and when she does she cooks for an Army size. She is a Southern Chef, though with everything else in her life, she likes to experiment. She doesn't care to duplicate anyone else, but rather finds originality to be the best.

:: MUTATION ::
- :: ABSORPTION ::
Power Absorption: Anna possesses the ability to absorb the powers of others through touch. Along with the powers, comes energy, and memories of the victim.
Unlike some other mutants, her power doesn't need to be activated in order to work. Simply by touching or being touched, her absorption power begins to work. From what she understands of her abilities, any bit of flesh uncovered, can potentially be used to absorb energy from another being.
The length of time that Rogue is able to keep the powers of another is determined by how long she is in bodily contact with the other person. With a mutant, she first begins to draw their power out. If only that happens, the power will stay with her for up to a week, though begins to fade after four days.
If bodily contact is made to the point both powers and energy is being drained, which causes the person to become unconscious, Rogue has the potential to be stuck with the power for months or even permanently. At this point, Rogue has not absorbed anyone as long as would be needed to test this theory, however.
While there is no true limit as to how many powers Rogue can absorb at one time, she can only absorb from up to three people, or three distinctly different powers. After this amount, she risks a sensory overload. Memories, personalities, and powers all fighting for the host position. It can cause her mental and physical anguish.

:: History ::
- 25 years ago, August 5th : A child is born to a pair of unwed barely matured teenagers. Her life hangs in the balance, as her birth mother struggles with the thought of keeping her or tossing her in a dumpster. Her worries are over, when she spots a woman walking nearby. She runs towards her, and presses her child into the woman's arms. The woman struggles only for a moment to keep hold of the infant, and yells for the girl who ran down the street. She waits several months before claiming the child as her own. That woman would later reveal herself to be Raven Darkholme.
- 24 years ago, April 15th: During a rather violent fight between Raven and her lover, Destiny, Anna was knocked out of her crib, and broke her arm. Child Welfare is called in to question Raven and Irene about the 24 hours prior to Anna getting harmed. Irene tells the truth about her and Raven having a domestic dispute. She later tells Raven, that had she not told the truth, the agency would be involved for two years. Anna is taken from the home for two weeks, while Raven and Irene are investigated.
- 24 years ago, April 29th: After nothing being found 'wrong' with Raven or Irene, Anna is returned to them.
- 24 years ago, August 5th: AnnaMarie's first birthday. A rather joyous occasion. It was thought that the woman known better as Mystique could never care for anyone truly, but herself.
- 19 years ago, September 3rd: AnnaMarie's first day of Kindergarten. Anna had no desire to leave her parents, and through a rather large fit. One of the few times Mystique was every witnessed crying. After her parents left, Anna, like most children, was completely fine.
- 12 years ago, June 10th: A few weeks before school let out for the Summer, Anna brought a boy home. During a rather nervous first kiss, Anna's powers manifested, drawing in the boy's energy. Once she realized what was happening, she stopped, and screamed. She was terrified. Mystique and Destiny came running in. Mystique picked the boy up, and dashed for her car to bring the child to the hospital. Destiny explained to Anna, what happened, and that while the boy wouldn't die, he would be in a coma, from which he would never awaken.
When Destiny left with Mystique, Rogue ran from their home, and began to hitchhike. It was there she met Wolverine, and later a group of X-Men, who saved them from an apparent unwinnable fight. She knew those who had come after them. They weren't going to hurt her, just bring her back to her parents. She felt horrible that Wolverine had been attacked while trying to protect her.
They were brought to the X-Mansion, where they were accepted, and the fact that Rogue was secretive about her past didn't hinder her ability to join the school. After she completed her years of schooling, she left the school in order to 'find herself'. Rogue is currently living in a week to week motel in Louisiana.

Satin pressed thickly against her sweat dampened skin. The evening was something that should have been cooler at least in a few degrees, and yet, it seemed only to have gotten warmer as the sun went down. Her left leg extended outward, the right bent under her as she rested on her side, her palm resting against the side of her face. The television was on, the announcer screaming about some new food processor, though Anna wasn't watching it. She was lost in her own thoughts.
She needed to make a change. She needed to make a drastic change in who and what she was about. She unfolded herself and padded barefoot to the balcony doors, opened them, and let the evening air come to collect against her skin. Each small breath of air, though warm, was like a caress of memory. She ached for her home. She ached for the true heat of a Mississippi Summer night. She wanted to smell the rich, earthy scent of the swamp, to hear the crickets, the frogs, the owls, every night creature that had made her childhood something special, something amazing.
Anna pressed her fingers to the cool iron of the balcony edging. She bent her knees and slid her legs under the iron, and sat down. She was ready for the change, but a change that would crush everything she had been up until that point. Would the change be something that she could, or would survive? She was certain that it wouldn't kill her, but it had the potential to break her.
She wasn't the type to ask for help. She wasn't the type to lower her guard, open herself up for rejection. Her tongue passed across her lips and she felt the burn of tears behind her eyes. She released one single tear, and then another, and finally they flowed freely, and a sob shook through her body. It wouldn't be the first time she had cried for who she was, but it was the first time she had cried for the Anna she no longer wanted to be.
She finally stood up, and she walked into her bedroom, out into the hall, and into the garage. She found herself in her Jeep, and didn't give it a second thought. She drove to the one place she had no business being. It was nearly ten pm. Not time to make a social call. But then again, this was no social call. If she waited, she'd truly be messed up. She would probably change her mind, and she didn't want anything or anyone to interfere with the change she wanted, no a change she NEEDED to make.
She stopped short of pulling up to the gate. She pressed the button and murmured into the speaker, and shortly the gates were opened to her.
"Christ on a cracker... what the hell am I doin' here?" She murmured, and drove through. She parked, and got out of the car. She wasn't exactly dressed for a social call either. A pair of comfortable yoga pants, a pair of flip-flops, revealing her purple painted toenails, and a tank-top, all in black. She moved forward and stopped at the door, rang the bell and took a deep breath.
"All'r nothin', baby.." And with that she forced herself to breathe normally.
"Welcome to Mutant High."
