:: PERSONALITY ::
Dante is somewhat anti-social. He doesn't go out of his way to approach people and rarely will be the starter of a conversation. He prefers to stick to the shadows, where he is close and at home. He never lets his guard down, having a slight case of paranoia he's more likely to accuse someone of something they did do than be caught off guard. His paranoia wouldn't be apparent to the average person as he uses his powers constantly and thus, is always snooping. Looking in peoples bags, backpacks, even under their clothes without a seconds thought.
Dante is not shy, despite being constantly vigilant and lack of social skills. He doesn't shy away from conversation, nor does he care what people think of him when he chooses to express himself. He's bold despite his lack of social skills, if he can't find the words to express it he'll just act on his instincts. Dante has a problem with being told what to do, and respectively has a problem with authority. Anything to do with authority is automatically nothing but an obstacle and meant to be torn down should it cross his path.
Dante is possibly one of the mutants with the most to hide. Despite having an amazing power that can be immensely powerful, he's an avid killer. Enjoying the thrill of feeling someones life fade away and into the next plain of existence, Dante enjoys killing his victims slowly and letting their bodies suffer. He finds his powers extremely useful as he is able to simply push the body into another dimension and leave nothing behind if he chooses to. However, part of the thrill is leaving just enough to almost get caught.

:: MUTATION ::
- :: Mediumship::
This is the act of contacting spirits from the world beyond. He has come to call it this by what he perceives it as. He can most certainly see the dead but it's not proven by any means that it is actually a spirit. He could have limited psychic abilities and is able to read the energy left behind. Luckily he can only see them at the place that they died. If he goes to a place where a large mass of people died he can be overwhelmed by the surrounding "spirits" and taken over by one strong enough.
He can also contact 'spirits' from the worlds beyond. His emotion determines the type of spirit. If he is even the slightest bit angry he can attract an evil spirit that could force him to do something he’d regret, and can turn a simple bit of anger into a full on violent attack. Although if he allows sadness or happiness to fill him it is likely he will not be possessed but anything can be perverted when it comes to "demons". Although Psychologist have said that his emotions are simply amplified at times of stress.
This can be useful is someone has died recently and Dante’ would be an excellent detector perhaps one day, but for now it is more of a curse. Also using this power he can tell if someone has lost someone close to them by there “aura” which he perceives as a feint glow around a person.
At the peak of this power, if he concentrates, he can temporarily bring people back, too say there final words, or if he has a strong enough connection for a full conversation. The strength of the connection is determined by the closeness of the person that died to the one that knew them. If they were friends it is likely that he could only get them a few words in but if it were someone that was perhaps married then he could even go as far as to reconstruct the person’s appearance in a sort of transparent form. This opens his mind up to temptation however and would likely not do so for anyone he wasn't close to.- :: Darkforce Connection::
Darkforce is an extra-dimensional energy, even thought to possibly be an entity of unmeasured power. Dante’ is connected to this energy from birth and has a natural flow of energy constantly flowing through him from this source. This is what is thought to allow him to contact people from beyond the grave, but is also responsible for the attraction of unwelcome "demons".
This connection allows a wide array of uses. He can use it as a limited teleportation, able to walk through shadows and appear from another, he is limited to the shadows when it comes to teleporting. He can also use it to throw up a quick barrier and pull a shadow from its spot and move it in the sunlight.
This allows him to throw up barriers, and use it as blasts, and shockwaves. These are most closely related to that of psychic energy blasts and are powerful enough to break down walls if enough force is put into them. The amount of power these attacks have depends directly on how dark it is, during the middle of the day he is at his weakest and would probably be able to knock them off their feet if lucky. Having no physical combat he often uses it as ranged attacks and tries to stay away from close combat and once he’s close he’ll look for the quickest escape.- :: Re-animation::
Provided that Dante can actually make physical contact with a corpse, he has the power to reanimate it, provided he send his consciousness into it. This of course leaves his body un-protected. While controlling another body he is subjected to the obvious laws of nature that would cause the body to decay, rigor mortis sets in and so forth, causing ultimate control of the body to decrease as time passes.
"Living from day to day, moving from place to place, with no memory of who or what you are."
:: History ::
Dante is one of the few mutants to be born where his powers affected him at birth. His eyes have always been a pale white iris'less void. His hair is a jet black which may not be a mutation had his parents not both been crazy gingers from Scotland. Either way his father was sure that his mother had gone behind hiss back with the neighbor or perhaps someone with just a fancier kilt. Either way he didn't stick around, not that he was the grade A man anyway, after all...he wore a kilt.
With his father out of the picture his mother promptly discovered she wouldn't have the time nor money to take care of a child Thus Dante' become one of the several children placed in an orphanage. It was a catholic orphanage run by a small group of nuns which barely had time for their usual children let alone Dante, who needed so much more help and watching as he was blind and could get into anything.
While one would think, people wouldn't be prejudice against children in an orphanage, Dante would find himself as one of the few children to grow up in the orphanage. While he was blind he didn't show any slower transgression through school, nor was he ever shy about his own thoughts. One nun in-particular, Juliet, of course she went by something else, took care of Dante' personally for the majority of his life, until he turned thirteen.
It was Dante's birthday, or at least. the day he showed up at the orphanage, and Juliet was going to take Dante for Ice cream. It seemed only fair after all the poor kid had been in a orphanage his entire life. Walking along the sidewalk, Dante with his walking stick, and Juliet holding his hand, it had to be some cruel sense of fate that day as a driver too busy with spilling hot coffee on his lap, swerved. The screetch of the tires gave Juliet a quick reaction. She pushed Dante' out of the way just in time he was only hit by the mirror but Juliet hadn't had enough time to escape.
Knocked out for a good fifteen minutes Dante awoke to the sound of sirens. He crawled towards the shadow of Juliet's shadow. Not thinking anything of the fact he could make out her outline on the ground. There was a pool of darkness that he crawled into, her blood covering his torso. He called to her but with no response. He called out to her frantically eventually grabbing hold of her shoulders. The paramedics rushed over telling him he had to let go. He refused and they pulled him off. Grabbing the pendant around her neck it was a saint Michael's pendant, said to provide safety to the wearer. He clutched it close to his person as he as taken to the hospital.
He had two busted ribs and they were going to keep him in the hospital until it healed. The entire time he didn't say a word until Prof. wheels showed up in his hospital room. In the flesh. HE had a way of calming him, as if being around him was serene and where he belonged. It did't take much convincing for Dante to accompany him back to the school.
Later that year the Professor met an untimely demise and while everyone attended teh funeral Dante could not face his grave in front of so many. When everyone had left he went down. Taking off the pendant that he had placed around his neck and put it to the head stone of his grave. Xavier had put so much time and dedication to the school his spirit lingered everywhere and as Dante sat there crying, he could hear Charles voice speaking to him. In hat same soothing sense he'd always had around him.
Soon after the school closed down, and Dante wouldn't find another orphanage this time. No..this time he was on his own, living on the streets made him tough, it was survive or die, no in between. Dante did what he had to, he stole, he lied, he cheated, and eventually he killed, and then..he killed again and again. It became a hobby, he didn't even do it when he had to, rather, when the urge struck.
With news off the school re-opening Dante considered returning, but after all he'd done, he couldn't. Plus, it wouldn't be the same without his dear professor.

Dante’ was lost in his own little world which at the moment was made up of a turkey sandwich and the TV. The person beside him hadn’t even gained his attention at first as he ate his tasty sandwich. The show Two and a half men had his full attention hoping no one changed the channel as he was actually enjoying it. He hadn’t watched TV especially with others in so long it felt really good to just be able to relax, to drop all his barriers. Taking a large bite of his sandwich his little world had a guest knocking kindly at the door. Turning his head his walls and barriers rose in an instance as he looked at the new person.
He’d stopped chewing as he wasn’t used to being approached by people that wanted to start a conversation. He’d forgot to chew so once the girl told him that her name was Les he created quiet the awkward silence demonstrated just how uncommon this was for him. Suddenly remembering just how his jaw work he quickly chewed the sandwich in time for her to comment on how good his sandwich looked. ”Um thanks?” he said obviously confused, she was right it was completely weird.
Quickly running his tongue over his teeth to try and get any leftovers off before he opened his mouth again. ”It’s okay, my names Dante’?” he said quietly even flashing her a smile. He’d been practicing showing his emotions without actually feeling them of course nothing could go wrong from a happy emotion right? There wasn’t some sort of happy demon that would threaten to take over his body that he knew of at least.
For some reason he felt that she was probably hungry despite her not saying so. Then again maybe she was just really that bad at starting a conversation. ”There’s more in the kitchen if you want one…” he said feeling a bit confused as he couldn’t get over the fact she’d said that. Taking another healthy bite of the sandwich on the paper plate he chewed it rather slowly hoping he wouldn’t have to talk much during this meeting. She was interrupting the show which he hadn’t seen since there was a new guy on the show. For some reason though he couldn’t shake the feeling that this had happened to him before, but at the same time it hadn’t. ”Why am I getting a sudden since of Déjà vu?” he thought to himself as he looked at Les chewing on the delicious turkey and cheese sammich.
