{desc=(Open)}Life at the new mansion had pretty much returned to normal, save for the lack of Xavier though, but with the six years they had all pretty much adjusted to his death in their own way. Piotr had done so by diving deeper into his painting, now studying to become an art teacher. He already had an art club here at Xavier's, and though he truly enjoyed doing his own paintings, he was finding helping those who wanted to learn so much more enjoyable.
Today, the 'tin man' had found himself out by Breakstone Lake, painting a portrait of the lake itself. Though it was a bright and sunny day out, the painting did not reflect this, and it was raining and storming. Perhaps the most notable thing in the painting was a single lightning bolt, streaking down the sky, just about to strike the water. Those that knew him well enough, knew his paintings reflected his current mood, and overall he just wasn't happy today. He was still worried about his little sister, and though it had been a few years, he just wanted to know what happened.
With a sigh, he backed away from the finished painting, sitting on the railings of the gazebo. He wasn't sure what he'd do with it, though he supposed he'd just wrap it up and put it in storage like he did all his paintings. He wasn't quite ready to try and get the on display anywhere, nor did he honestly feel they should be. With a sigh, he just stared at the sky, wondering what the rest of the day would hold for him and his comrades.

It was odd to Kitty how quickly things had become routine at the school. At times it was as if it had never shut down, as if they had not lost the professor. Then Kitty would remember and while she no longer cried, she still felt the hole in her heart that his death had created. She knew things would have been different had he not passed away before his time but there was nothing she could do about it. She could only accept his passing and do her best to live up to his memory.
Today Kitty found herself wandering down towards the lake. She was wearing jean shorts and a large sky blue t-shirt over her swimsuit and a beach towel was slung over her shoulder. It was a beautiful day out so on a whim she had decided to take a swim at the lake. The closer she got it the more she was able to make out a lone figure sitting at by the lake. She hadn't expect to be the only one at the lake but she was still surprised when she was finally able to make out that the lone figure was Piotr. A smile spread across her lips as she made her way to her friend and teammate.
Kitty made her way quietly to him. Finally coming to a stop once she was behind him. The small brunette peered over the male's shoulder, admiring the painting he had probably just finished. "I haven't seen one of your painting in a long time. It's really good." Kitty looked up at Piotr, resisting the urge to throw her arms around him. He was one of the people she had missed the most when the institute had shut down.

Though Piotr knew this was a typical day at the mansion, he honestly hadn't expected anyone to come out today. He found himself out by the lake a lot, giving himself time to think mostly, though he did sometimes find himself swimming in the lake. Before he got his powers, he loved to swim, but after getting them, he just seemed to lose that love, though he would sometimes take a swim just to feel the water again. However, as he finished his painting, he felt a familiar presence sneak up on him and smiled as she spoke.
"Kitty, it's been a long time, I've missed you my friend." He spoke with his Russian accent, something he never got rid of, regardless of how long he lived here in the United States.
With a smile, he turned around and gave her a hug, a smile on his face. He had missed her a lot, and he found himself wondering how she had been while he was gone. With a smile, he turned and looked back at the painting, glad she appreciated his work. "You can have the painting if you want Kitty, I'm probably just going to put it in storage with the rest of them." He spoke happily, honestly preferring his paintings to be displayed somewhere, especially for someone who appreciated them.
